The NIDILRR-funded Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Universal Design and the Built Environment recently debuted Innovative Solutions for Universal Design (isUDtm), a collection of evidence-based solutions for creating inclusive and healthy environments. Users must create a free account to explore the collection. Each solution includes applicable goals of UD and describes when in a project it might be applied, such as design development or operations. Many of the solutions include supporting information such as drawings, photographs, and best practices. The current collection includes solutions for UD of public and commercial buildings. In the future, the collection will expand to include housing, transportation, products, and more.
